WeLoveMusicians attended the Go Cello Festival last week to join a national celebration of talented young cellists. Hosted by the London Cello Society at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, in Greenwich, the festival welcomed cellists of all abilities to attend performances and classes.
Sponsoring the Teaching the Young Cellist Workshop, the WeLoveMusicians team spoke to cello teachers about their support of young musicians. They also discussed the importance of protecting their instrument and professional livelihood with musician’s insurance. Later in the evening, the team were entertained by budding cellists at a concert performance, while on Sunday, a celebrational buffet was enjoyed.
Speaking of the event, Carly Nineham, Scheme Manager of WeLoveMusicians, said "We’ve had a highly enjoyable time at the Go Cello Festival! It’s been great to speak to musicians who have a clear passion for their instrument and enthusiasm for teaching the young cellists of the future".
Shaun Lenton, WeLoveMusicians Director, added "At WeLoveMusicians, we pride ourselves on supporting musicians when they require our insurance cover. This is evident in our long heritage of helping classical musicians, including the renowned cellist Steven Isserlis and The Stradivari Trust. We share young musicians and their teachers’ passion for instruments which is why we were proud to sponsor the Go Cello! Teaching the Young Cellist workshop".
